Video Tour of The Oregon Golf Club

Designed by touring professional Peter Jacobson and renowned golf course architect Kenneth Kavanagh, this 18-hole championship golf course captivates players from beginning to end with its architectural masterpiece. The undulating fairways and scenic views at every turn make this course a true gem. Front Nine

One

The first hole at The Oregon Golf Club is a lengthy par 5 measuring 523 yards. From the elevated tee, golfers will enjoy a downhill tee shot to a spacious landing area. The second shot, however, requires strategic placement, as players will need to favor the left side of the fairway to gain the best angle into the green. With bunkers on the right and a large tree guarding the left, precision is key on this hole.

The second hole is a picturesque dogleg right par 4 that spans 341 yards. The natural boundaries of a grove of Pine trees define the dogleg, while the green sits 25 feet below the driving area, offering stunning views of the Willamette River and Mt. Hood. Players will need to execute a "bounce and run" shot to navigate the sloping putting surface.

The third hole is a medium-length dogleg left par 4 that measures 404 yards. The fairway slopes from right to left, and the tee box sits beside a natural grouping of trees. Spectators will enjoy the view of the large green that sits below the surrounding area.

The fourth hole is a captivating downhill par 3 of 162 yards. A lake flanks the green on the left, while a magnificent tree guards the right side. On clear days, the background boasts a stunning view of Mount Hood.

The fifth hole is a 555 yard par 5 that features a rolling landscape. Although the green can be reached in two shots, players must avoid the tree that blocks the left side of the green by favoring the right side of the fairway. Bunkers guarding the second shot landing area pose an additional challenge.

The sixth hole is the longest par 4 on the front nine, spanning 435 yards. Golfers face a daunting downhill tee shot into a tree-lined fairway. The second shot is uphill to a green that is protected on the left by large evergreen trees. Many players consider this hole to be the toughest on the front nine.

The seventh hole is a classic dogleg right par 4 that winds around a lake. The closer players aim their downhill tee shot to the water, the shorter their second shot will be to the green. Like the second hole, a "bounce and run" shot is the proper play here.

The final hole on the front nine is an uphill medium-length par 4 measuring 325 yards. Players must carry their drive over the corner of the lake to have a clear uphill second shot into the green. After completing this challenging hole, golfers will return to the clubhouse.

With a well-placed drive over the trees at the right corner of the dogleg, golfers have the opportunity to reach the green in one shot. A massive tree grouping stands behind the green, creating a stunning backdrop. This hole offers an excellent chance for longer hitters to score an eagle.

The eleventh hole is a narrow and heavily wooded par 4 that measures 368 yards. Golfers will need to navigate the trees and play a slightly downhill shot. The views of the Willamette River off the left side of the hole add to the scenic beauty of this challenging course.

Carved out of a breathtaking wooded setting, the twelfth hole is one of the most spectacular on the course. This 155 yard par 3 features a shallow green with a natural amphitheater behind it. The elevated tee shot must carry the huge canyon and creek in front, providing a thrilling challenge for golfers.

The thirteenth is the shortest par 5 on the course, measuring 484 yards. While the left side is tree-lined and offers views of the Willamette River, the entrance to the green is protected by a creek that runs through hole 15 as well. Golfers should aim to reach the green in two shots on this tricky hole.

The fourteenth is a difficult uphill par 4 that spans 398 yards. The tee shot is lined with trees on both sides, with the concentration of trees standing near the landing area. The right side of the green is well guarded by a large grass swale and tree groupings, posing a challenge for players.

The final par 5 hole is a breathtaking challenge, spanning 517 yards. Following a downhill tee shot framed by stately trees and Mt. Hood in the distance, the second shot requires both power and precision. Golfers can choose to go for the green in two, but must navigate a wooded setting to reach the green bordered by a creek on the left side. A lay-up second shot leaves a short yet demanding pitch over the creek.

The sixteenth hole is a tough uphill par 4 that spans 410 yards and doglegs to the left. Golfers must play their drive either over or as close to the fairway bunker as possible to have a clear shot into the green. Those who favor the right side of the fairway will find themselves with a longer second shot blocked by trees and green side bunkers.

This 182 yard par 3 is a thrilling hole situated atop a natural ridge line. The entire left of the hole is bordered by a 70-foot drop-off, challenging the aggressive player to take the direct line to the green. For more conservative players, a bail-out area is available to the right.

The final hole is an incredible par 4 that spans 432 yards uphill. The entire length of the hole is bordered by a creek on the left, crossing in front of the green. A birdie putt here will be the result of two perfectly executed golf shots. The contours of the hole create a natural amphitheater at the green, ideal for spectator viewing.
